Chief Financial Officer - Justin Michaël Sloove
What I do in daily life
In daily life I work in IT management and specifically in IT Service Management. This means that I focus on the relation with the customer and the IT processes themselves in order to deliver properly functional IT environments for the customers of the organisation I am part of. Furthermore I am fond of cars, bikes and boats. I am a true patrol head and I truly relax by using any of them.
What I bring to the table
In previous work I've done commerce and finance. Together with my strong emphasis on creating business value by doing IT, I can help the foundation to maximise its potential. Simply put: everything can be done more efficiently if it is automated or easily administrated.
My interests
It is my task to be the conscience of the foundation, I feel comfortable by being that. My hobbies are, as stated above, cars, bikes and boats. As long as it has got an engine or is somewhat fast I am content. Although I am not practicing it now, I do enjoy playing rugby and kickboxing. What really makes me tick is leading my pack, my wolfpack of enthusiastic friends/employees and to accomplish doing great stuff.
Previous volunteering
In all honesty, I am not a great volunteer. Even more than that, I do not per say believe in volunteering as it is practiced by 'my perspective of a humanitarian cause'. Partially I take a look through some strictly financial goggles and then I do not see much added value. All this said, I do believe in Boost Foundation because we want to make a difference in the structural inequality that currently exists.
Why I am involved in Boost Foundation
An inspiring word for me is “structure”. I believe that by reducing any structural 'wrong-doing' we can provide added value. Simply put: I focus on the long term and on the added value of our organisation and by that to create structure for the projects we BOOST.
